Russia Decision from McDonald's: It will reopen with a new name
Russia Decision from McDonald's: It will reopen with a new name. McDonald's, which opened its first branch in Russia 30 years ago, will begin to serve on Russia's national liberation day with its new brand and name.
The first branch with the new name will serve at the iconic location in Moscow's Pushkin Square, where the first branch in Russia was opened in 1990.
After Russia's attack on Ukrainian territory on February 24, McDonald's was among the Western companies that left Russia.
In a statement made last month, it announced that it would hand over its restaurants in Russia to a local licensee named Alexander Govor.
New Logo
While the new name has been kept secret, it has been learned that the new logo will feature two french fries and a hamburger patty placed on a green background.
