Russian Soldiers Were Offered Bitcoin To Surrender
Russian soldiers were offered Bitcoin to surrender. It was reported that the Russian soldiers who surrendered to the Ukrainian troops will be given 5 million rubles of Bitcoin.
While Russia's invasion of Ukraine caused serious decreases in the currencies of the two countries, the crypto donations made to Ukraine was a first in the history. While the value of cryptocurrencies was once again understood, a completely different claim has been made, again focused on cryptocurrencies.
Masha Efrosinia, Ukrainian television presenter and honorary ambassador of the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine, stated on her personal Instagram account that Russian soldiers who surrender will be given
Bitcoin.
Efrosinina said that a payment of 5 million rubles (approximately 50 thousand dollars) will be made, and the payment can be in fiat money or cryptocurrencies:
"
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine decided to give money to Russian soldiers in case they surrender with their equipment. Millions of dollars are currently coming from all over the world to the Ukrainian army, and Russian soldiers will receive 5 million rubles if they surrender. This money can be sent to their accounts, can also be given as cash or cryptocurrency. Payments will be made instantly and the soldiers will be released after appearing in court. But the important thing here is that they can stop their attacks now and get money."
