Sergei Lavrov, “The Risk of World War III Should Not Be Underestimated”
Third World War warning from Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Lavrov once again made statements underlining the possibility of a
nuclear attack in Ukraine and that the risks of World War III should not be underestimated.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov once again made statements about the risks at the door. Speaking to Russian state television, Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any agreement to end the conflict in Ukraine will largely depend on the military situation on the ground.
Sergei Lavrov stated that they do not want the risks of nuclear war to increase and said, "But the danger is serious. We should not underestimate this danger."
Answering a question about the importance of avoiding the Third World War and the comparability of the current situation with the Cuban missile crisis in 1962, Minister Lavrov noted that Russia was doing too much to prevent a nuclear war.
Minister Lavrov also stated that the weapons sent by the West to Ukraine are a legitimate target for the Russian army, adding that "NATO is waging a proxy war with Russia over Ukraine and is arming this deputy."
