Statement from Buterin on the Pos Protocol
Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum, said that the transition to the PoS protocol will most likely take place in August.
Statement from Buterin on the Pos Protocol. Speaking at the Ethereum summit in Shanghai, Buterin pointed to August for Ethereum's transition to the Pos protocol. He added that the Ethereum Consolidation, i.e. the transition to a proof-of-stake (PoS) protocol, could be delayed until October if developers encounter some difficulties. Buterin made the following statements on the subject:“We've been working on proof-of-stake for about 7 years. But in the end, all these works come together. If all goes well, the likely plan is for the merger to take place in the summer. Our most important announcement this week was that the merge will take place on the ropsten testnet on June 8th.”
