Sygnum, the World's First Digital Asset Bank is Launching!

Sygnum, the world's first digital asset bank, announced today that it will hold an official public launch on September 27, 2022. It also announced that it will open a center in the Metaverse platform Decentraland (MANA) with a live-stream event.

Opening a branch in New York's Times Square could be interpreted as a fairly normal transaction for a bank. However, this branch opened in the virtual New York Time Square in the Decentraland Metaverse. Sygnum announced that the Decentraland center will have a CryptoPunk receptionist, NFT gallery and event space. It will also be a platform to showcase the bank's Web3 innovations. What's more, customers' avatars will be able to walk through the garden across three tiers in the Metaverse. Martin Burgherr, Sygnum's chief customer officer, said he believes the Sygnum center will provide an entry point into the Metaverse economy for potential investors. 'Our new Metaverse hub will showcase Sygnum's Web3 innovations. It will also be a natural place to provide a reliable entry point for investors into the rapidly growing Future Finance economy. Sygnum said it will be the first Swiss bank to open a virtual Metaverse branch, where it will join other international banks such as HSBC and JP Morgan, which opened the cryptocurrency's eponymous Onyx Lounge earlier in January. The digital asset bank is one of the early adopters of Web3. Sygnum introduced a regulated Ethereum staking product that was recently launched. It is continuously creating products for the advancement of blockchain technology. Furthermore, the bank invests in NFTs as seen recently with the adoption of a blue-chip CryptoPunk 6808 NFT. The acquired CryptoPunk will now serve as its receptionist in the Decentraland Metaverse. The new space will officially open to the public with a livestream event on September 27th.
