The Ruble's Rise Against the Dollar Continues
With Russia's invasion of Ukraine, sanctions were taken from many countries, while the Russian Ruble, which struggled with these sanctions, reached its highest level against the dollar in the last four years.
While the scars of the war are growing day by day, the activity in the markets continues. The ruble continued its rally against the dollar for the fifth day, recording the highest level since March 2018. The ruble rose 2% against the dollar.
Despite sanctions imposed on Russia as a result of its invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Ruble was named the best-performing currency, rising by an average of 30% this year against the US dollar.
Expert analysts note that this recovery has taken place very quickly and this value gain will hit the budget revenues and reduce competitiveness in exports.
