Ukraine Will Distribute NFTs Instead of Airdrop
Ukraine has decided to abandon the idea of an airdrop which was announced yesterday. Ukraine will distribute NFTs instead of the previously confirmed airdrop.
As it is known, the Ukrainian government has announced that it accepts donations in cryptocurrency. After this announcement, Ukraine also announced an airdrop. While many names welcomed this announcement, a new decision was made. Ukraine announced that it has cancelled the idea of an airdrop.
Ukraine announced that it abandoned this decision due to a security research. The Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine
Mykhailo Fedorov was the person who made the announcement on the subject.
Fedorov said the following statements in his statement:
"After careful consideration, we have decided to cancel the airdrop. Every day there are more and more people who want to help Ukraine fight aggression. Instead, we will soon announce NFTs to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces."
To recall, with Ukraine sharing its cryptocurrency wallets, millions of dollars of cryptocurrency donations were made to the country. Gavin Wood, the founder of Polkadot, also announced that if a Polkadot (DOT) wallet is opened, he will send 5 million dollars worth of DOT.
