End of Day Record in the Stock Market

The end of day record was achieved in the stock market. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased by 1.12 percent and closed the day with 1.522.24 points. With this level, the index recorded the highest closing of all time, and brought its highest level record to 1.522.70 points. At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index increased by 16.82 points compared to its previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 34 billion liras. At the closing, the banking index gained 1.95 percent, while the holding index gained 1.19 percent. Among the industry indices, real estate investment trusts were the most earning with 3.56 percent, while the biggest loss was on forest, paper and printing with 0.83 percent. BIST 100 index, which moved with buyers throughout the day, raised its highest level record to 1.522.70 points. Analysts stressed that the return of the election results in the US in favor of Democrat Joe Biden and the formalization of Biden's presidency increased the risk appetite in the markets. In addition, it was reported that the expectations that the financial incentives would be increased in a short time supported the stock markets. Indicating that the domestic data agenda seems stable tomorrow, analysts noted that the data agenda will be followed abroad, especially the employment report to be announced in the USA. On the technical side, analysts stated that the 1.550 level was in the resistance position and the 1.470 points in the support position in the BIST 100 index.
