Fesih Aktaş, President of the Energy Oil Gas Supply Stations Employers' Union (EPGIS), evaluated the situation after the hikes in fuel prices. Aktaş commented on the effect of the USD/TL exchange rate on oil prices. Aktaş, who was a guest of Bloomberg HT, said that as the exchange rate increase continues, there is a slightly more upward trend in the price hikes. Aktaş used the following statements about the increase in the last few months: "After filling the limit of the scale mobile in gasoline, there was an increase of approximately 0.58 TL. There was a total increase of 1.25 TL in LPG, and an increase of 0.87 TL in diesel. Unfortunately, if the increase in product prices continues until the end of the year, if there is no decrease in the exchange rate in the country, it seems to be trending a little higher." Aktaş said, "Without Esel mobile system, the liter of gasoline would have been around 11 TL after these hikes. There is a waiver of the state as 2.53 TL in gasoline. Without this waiver, prices would have been around 11.5s right now."
