Erdogan Said, Five Chain Markets Are Turning The Market Upside Down
Regarding the claims of exorbitant prices in food, President Erdogan said, "Five chain markets are turning the market upside down."
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that the Ministry of Commerce will "take the necessary operations" regarding the exorbitant price claims, said, "The markets are turning upside down with the product collected by these five chain stores."
Speaking to reporters in New York after his US contacts,
Erdogan said, "There are partially unlimited applications of these chain markets in this regard. In the face of these unlimited applications, we, as the Ministry of Commerce, will address them."
Asked whether the problem stems from the chain markets, Erdogan said, “Most of the business is concentrated. These five chain stores pack all that product. The markets are mixed with the product collected by these chain markets. If they act more fairly at this point, the citizens will be able to buy products at affordable prices and the producer will have the chance to get their money on time.”
