In the phone call of the two, Turkey's plans for the Channel Istanbul project were discussed. Putin stated that they consider the continuation of the current conditions of 1936 Montreux as important in order to ensure regional stability and security in the straits.
In the meeting, the joint production of the Russian vaccine Sputnik V, which was developed to combat the coronavirus epidemic, was also discussed.
