EU Awaits Elections to Impose "Customs Taxes to the USA" The EU awaits elections to impose "Customs taxes on the USA". The European Union will likely wait until the presidential election passes to enact the $ 4 billion customs duty allowed against the United States. According to three authoritative sources quoted, the European Union (EU) received the World Trade Organization's (WTO) permission to impose a $ 4 billion customs duty on US goods. However, it will most likely wait for the US Presidential elections to be held on November 3 to impose these taxes. In the report shared by Bloomberg last month, the magnitude of the World Trade Organization's (WTO) decision against the illegal state aid provided by the United States to Boeing was revealed. The right to apply taxes to the EU fell behind the US $ 7.5 billion decision in the Airbus-Boeing trial in 2019. The European Union previously shared a list of American products to which it will apply customs taxes. However, despite targeting politically important items for US President Trump and his Republican allies, including passenger aircraft, agricultural products, seafood and mining, the EU will likely leave this decision until after next month's elections, considering the possibility of a possible deal. Boeing and Airbus called for re-negotiations after the announcement of the decision.
