European Stock Markets Ended The Day With A Decline
At the close, the benchmark index Stoxx Europe 600 fell by 1.13 percent to 361.93 points.In England, the FTSE 100 index decreased 0.88 percent to 5,799.08 points, in Germany the DAX 30 index fell 1.65 percent to 12,842.66 points, in France the CAC 40 index fell 0.89 percent to 4,965.07 points, and ItalyFTSE MIB 30 index decreased by 0.82 percent to 19,391.25 points.According to the provisional data released by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), orders for domestically produced products in the country increased by 2.8 percent in July compared to the previous month.The market expectation for factory orders was to increase 5 percent on a monthly basis.Orders decreased by 7.3 percent compared to July 2019, despite the expectation of a 10.6 percent decrease.In July, these orders were 8.2 percent lower than in February 2020, when restrictions were not yet introduced to prevent the spread of the new type of coronavirus.
