Many unions went on strike in the UK!

Strike in Germany costs 35 million euros

Despite the holiday period in Germany, on July 27, ground staff at Lufthansa went on a warning strike at the call of the Verdi union, demanding a wage increase. Munich and Frankfurt airports, one of the most important airports in the country, could not operate due to the strike and this situation caused very difficult moments. Many flights were canceled and the number of victims exceeded thousands. 134 thousand passengers could not fly and after the strike, which cost about 35 million euros, the Verdi Union and the employer were able to reach an agreement. On the other hand, collective bargaining talks between Lufthansa's Eurowings and the pilots' union Cockpit Union have stalled.

Dutch railway workers on strike

Employees of the Dutch State Railways (NS) decided to strike after their demands for an increase in their salaries were responded negatively.
