Exports in Japan fell 26.2 percent on an annual basis in June.
Exports in Japan fell more than 20 percent in a third consecutive month, despite the relaxation of coronavirus restrictions. Japan's exports in June fell 26.2 percent compared to the previous year's June period. The expectation of economists in the Bloomberg survey was a 24.7 percent drop.
According to data released by the Ministry of Finance on Monday, auto parts led the decline in exports.
While exports continue to decline year-on-year, there are some signs that the decline may continue. Automobile exports fell by half in June, compared to a two-thirds recession in May.
The decline in exports to the European Union (EU) and the USA remained almost 5 points behind compared to the previous month.
