Export Figures Of Turkey Has Been Announced
Export figures for May have been announced. According to the data, exports rose 65.5 percent in May.
Trade Minister Mehmet Muş announced the export figures of Turkey. Pointing out that in May, exports increased by 65.5 percent to 16.5 billion dollars compared to the same month of the previous year, Muş said, "This value is the second highest export value in May of all years."
Minister Muş stated that this acceleration in
exports contributed to the closing of the current account deficit.
5-month exports increased by 38.3 percent and rose to 85.2 billion dollars. In addition, Minister Muş said that the annualized export value was 193.3 billion dollars, the highest 12-month export to date.
Import Rate Also Increased
Imports increased by 54 percent in May and rose to $20.6 billion. In May, foreign trade volume increased by 58.9 percent and reached 37.1 billion dollars.
The ratio of exports to imports increased to 80%. The ratio of exports to imports excluding gold was recorded as 79.5 percent.
