February Economic Confidence Index Announced
The economic confidence index increased by 0.5 percent in February compared to January and reached 97.5.
While the economic confidence index was 97.1 in January, it increased by 0.5 percent in February to 97.5. The increase in the economic confidence index resulted from the increases in the real sector (manufacturing industry) and service sector confidence indices.
The real sector confidence index increased by 0.3 percent in February compared to the previous month and reached 106.7, while the service sector confidence index increased by 3.4 percent and reached 98.5. The consumer confidence index declined by 2.7 percent in February to 57.3, the retail trade confidence index decreased by 2.0 percent to 102.9, and the construction sector confidence index decreased by 5.7 percent to 74.5.
