According to the information obtained by the AA correspondent, the sports index increased by 7.4 percent in January. Fenerbahçe was the sports company that earned the most last month with 28.6 percent. Fenerbahçe, which came to the fore with its successful transfers, also showed the same success in the stock market. While analysts drew attention to the increases in Fenerbahçe's shares with the transfer of Turkish-born German football player Mesut Özil, it was reminded that Fenerbahçe signed a 3.5-year contract with Mesut Özil. During the mentioned period, the shares of Beşiktaş Futbol Yatırımları Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ increased by 1.5 percent. Analysts stated that Beşiktaş's performance on the field also affected their shares. The shares of Trabzonspor Sportif Yatırım ve Futbol İşletmeciliği gained 0.8 percent, while the shares of Galatasaray Sportif Sınai ve Ticaret Yatırımlar fell by 9.4 percent. The shares of sports companies, which gained value with the transfers made in January, were subjected to pressure due to the negative image in the financial statements of the clubs. Indicating that the four major football clubs have around 14 billion lira in debt, analysts underlined that the debt of the clubs has increased by 579 percent in the last 8 years.   Fenerbahçe is the Club with the Most Market Value While Fenerbahçe was the club with the highest market value among the 4 public sports companies, the club closed the month of January with a market value of 3 billion 761 million 240 thousand liras. Fenerbahçe was followed by Galatarasay with a market value of 1 billion 981 million 800 thousand TL, Trabzonspor with a market value of 1 billion 230 million TL and Beşiktaş with a market value of 983 million 999 thousand 999 TL.
