Ferrero Buys British Biscuit Manufacturer Fox's Biscuits
Italian confectionery company Ferrero buys British biscuit manufacturer Fox's Biscuits.
Since taking over the British company, he has promised to expand his pastry business in
Europe and benefit from increased consumption at a time when large numbers of Britons are working from home.
The Italian manufacturer of Nutella, Ferrero Rocher and Kinder chocolates will expand its portfolio with, for example, Crunch Creams or Viennese biscuits.
The company did not disclose the value of the acquisition, but a source with information told Reuters that Ferrero would pay £ 250 million (€ 273.48 million) for Fox's Biscuits.
Ferrero is thus increasing the number of European acquisitions. Last year, the Italian confectionery group bought the Danish biscuit manufacturer Kelsen Group and the Belgian biscuit manufacturer Delacre.
In addition, Ferrero also bought the Keebler biscuit brand from the American food company Kellogg last year.
