A statement came from the official authorities regarding Russia's flight restriction to Turkey, which has been reflected in the news recently.

Tatyana Golikova stated that it was decided to limit flights to Turkey from April 15 to June 1. Golikova stated at the press conference that the Russian authorities will monitor the coronavirus situation in Turkey.
According to the decision, charter and some scheduled flights will be suspended. Flights between Istanbul and Moscow, which are made twice a week, will continue again.
According to the statement, the authorities advised tour operators not to sell tours in Turkey during the said period.
While it was stated that most of the new coronavirus (Covid-19) variants in
Russia came from Turkey and Tanzania, Russia also suspended flights to Tanzania during the same period.
