Flights Are Banned In Germany Once Again
Flights are banned in Germany once again. The country is tightening measures against the coronavirus mutation.
Germany reported that it stopped incoming flights to the country from England, Ireland, Portugal, Brazil and South Africa, where the mutated species of the coronavirus was detected, until February 17 as of tomorrow.
In Germany, the Federal Interior Ministry has tightened up the measures taken to prevent the spread of the more rapidly transmitted and more deadly strain of the mutated
coronavirus in the country.
Entries to the country from England, Ireland, Portugal, Brazil and South Africa, where the mutated type of coronavirus was detected were suspended until February 17 within the framework of the tightened measures. The flight ban will also apply to Lesotho and Eswatini in South Africa from Sunday.
Exceptions Will Continue
Some exceptions may be applied to entry bans for persons who reside and have the right of residence in Germany and for the movement of goods. While the strict test and quarantine obligation remains valid for returning Germans, trains, buses and transport companies, as well as airlines, will not be allowed to transport passengers from the mentioned regions to Germany as of tomorrow.
