Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced that Turkey-Italy, Turkey-South Korea, Turkey-Iraq as of last night, all passenger flights to and from Turkey have been halted.
Flights to three more countries were halted after Iran and China. Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, Turkey-Italy, Turkey-South Korea, Turkey-Iraq, all passenger flights to and from Turkey was stopped for precautionary purposes.
Minister Koca, yesterday's statement, noted:
"In line with the recommendations of our science board, a new measure was put into practice in coordination with our ministries of Transport and Infrastructure, Foreign Affairs, Interior and trade. Effective from midnight tonight, all passenger flights to and from Turkey to Italy, Turkey to South Korea, Turkey to Iraq have been stopped as a precaution.
In addition, our land borders with Iraq are closed to vehicle and passenger transit. The application depends on the current conditions and is temporary. To date, no worrying situation has emerged in our country."
