Former Ripple Co-Founder Sold XRP Again!
The former
Ripple co-founder has sold XRP again. Jed McCalep, one of the founders of Ripple, sold XRP again 25 days later.
The
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), known as one of the most important financial regulators in the US, sued Ripple for selling securities.
While Ripple and its CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, and founder Chris Larsen were indictment in the case, it was surprising that other co-founder Jed McCaleb, who consistently sells XRP, was not sued.
McCaleb Starts Resale
Jed McCaleb, one of Ripple's co-founders, later developed Stellar (XLM), had not been selling XRP for 25 days.
It was known that McCaleb, who has billions of XRPs, sold by the commercial volume according to the agreement. However, Jed McCaleb, who took a 25-day break from XRP sales after the lawsuit was filed, resumed sales on January 18, 2021.
McCaleb's Tacosand wallet, which has not been on sale for about a month, has started selling XRP again. McCaleb, which has sold 28.6 million XRPs as of January 18, gave a sales order for 9.747 million XRP. Accordingly, over 7 million dollars of sale was made.
XRP Gained More Than 10 Percent
While XRP started to gain value, McCaleb's sale also drew attention. Ripple's CEO welcomed the newly appointed SEC Chairman Gary Gensler, causing the XRP price to gain more than 10 percent.
It is thought that McCaleb may have signed such a sale in order to benefit from the increased volume.
