GameStop Will Open Its NFT Marketplace In The Second Quarter
GameStop, one of the leading companies in the gaming world, will open its NFT marketplace in the second quarter of this year.

GameStop marked the second quarter of 2022 for the NFT marketplace at the meeting where it announced its fourth quarter financial earnings report. At the meeting, it also announced the financial data for the fourth quarter of 2021. This statement also referred to new growth opportunities.
The following statements were included in the meeting:
“As we scale and expand our core offerings, we will simultaneously invest in blockchain, digital assets (including NFTs), Web 3.0 technology and growth for our stores.”
The company also highlighted that it hired many people with experience in areas such as blockchain gaming, e-commerce and technology in the fourth quarter. Finally, GameStop recently announced that it is collaborating with the Layer-2 system Immutable X for its NFT plans. The company stated that it will provide up to $150 million in IMX tokens. It also announced that it will use its $100 million fund focused on
NFT games in Immutable X.
