General Motors Views Bitcoin Payments Positively
General Motors views Bitcoin payments positively. GM stated that there are no barriers to accepting Bitcoin in vehicle sales.
General Motors, one of the world's leading automobile manufacturers, gave the green light to Bitcoin. Speaking to CNBC today, General Motors CEO Mary Barra stated that there is no obstacle for General Motors to accept Bitcoin in vehicle sales, and announced that they can sell vehicles with Bitcoin if their customers demand.
Stating that GM is trying to make the purchasing experience of its customers "as easy as possible", Barra had stated that they will evaluate Bitcoin after Tesla's $ 1.5 billion Bitcoin purchase in February.
As it will be remembered, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced in May that they stopped selling vehicles with
BTC due to Bitcoin's high CO2 values, causing Bitcoin prices to fall. In addition, Musk recently shared that they can re-evaluate Bitcoin, provided that it is more environmentally friendly.
General Motors aims to convert its production to 100 percent electric vehicles by 2035.
