German Companies Managed The Transition To Work From Home
During the coronavirus
pandemic, German companies managed the transition to work from home without major problems.
This is the result of a survey conducted by the
Munich institute Ifo on a sample of almost 1,200 managers and HR professionals.
As many as 84 percent of the companies surveyed expressed the opinion that the transformation towards working from home was not difficult. Potential complications were mainly due to insufficient technical equipment (55 percent), especially the lack of broadband internet connection.
According to 19 percent of companies, low motivation played the least important role. Another 18 percent reported missing skills in working with information technology.
According to 44 percent of respondents, the performance of employees after starting work from home did not deteriorate. The results were worse according to 33 percent of employers. Among them were those who did not report problems in the process of moving from work to home. Only 18 percent of companies registered improvements.
