Global Markets Began to Recover
Global markets began to recover. Risk appetite increased on the last trading day of the week.
Global stock markets were in a positive mood on the last trading day of the week, with investors pricing economic growth signals that relieved inflation concerns.
The MSCI Asia Pacific Index rose nearly 1 percent, led by Japan. While the Topix index increased almost 2 percent in Japan, a premium of 1 percent was observed in the indices of China, Australia and Hong Kong.
Futures in the
US indices, which closed Thursday with gains in value, showed positive pricing. An increase was observed in the first transactions of S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures.
On Thursday, the Dow Jones index gained over 400 points and reached 34,21 points, up 1.29 percent. The US 10-year bond interest found a balance at the level of 1.66 percent.
Applications for
unemployment benefits continued to decline in the country, according to data released on Thursday in the US. The number of applicants for unemployment benefits for the first time fell to 473,000 in the week ending May 8, falling more than expected.
Producer Price Index (PPI), on the other hand, increased by 0.6 percent monthly in April, higher than market expectations.
