Having decided to work remotely after the coronavirus turns into a pandemic, Google will work from home for a while. The technology giant extended the practice of working from home until 30 June 2021.
The coronavirus epidemic, which emerged in Wuhan, China and turned into a pandemic, affected the working system of many companies. Large companies such as Twitter, Facebook and Google switched to work from home to protect their employees' health and continued this model for a while due to the fact that the epidemic could not be controlled.
US technology giant Google has made a new decision on this application. According to the statement made by the company, the practice of working from home, which was implemented due to the coronavirus outbreak, was extended until 30 June 2021.
According to the news in the US press, Google Top Manager Sundar Pichai communicated the decision on the matter to the company employees via an e-mail.
"We are extending our global volunteer work from home until June 30, 2021 for tasks that do not have to be in the office," Pichai said in his email.
Underlining that they still learn a lot from the decision to work from home taken during the epidemic process, Pinhcai noted that what he learned from this experience will be used in Google's future approach to work.
It is stated that this decision taken by Google will affect almost all of 200 thousand full-time and contract employees.
