Grain Corridor Statement by Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın
Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın announced the departure date of the first ship carrying grain from Ukraine. Kalın stated that the ship could depart on August 1.
"The first ship carrying grain from Ukraine may leave tomorrow (August 1)," Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın said.
Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov, in his statement on the grain corridor agreement signed between Russia, Ukraine and the United Nations (UN), stated that Ukraine has completed all the necessary preparations for the shipment.
Stating that they have completed the necessary preparations in Ukraine for the grain shipment, Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov made the following statements:
"After the signing of the grain shipment initiative in Istanbul, the Ukrainian side has done everything necessary to start exporting our agricultural grain products through our ports. We have the ports of Chornomorsk and Odessa ready to start the shipment."

Commenting on the grain corridor, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, "As a result, at the technical meeting held in Istanbul last week, an agreement was reached on the outlines of the process within the framework of the UN plan. We hope that the plan will start to be implemented in the coming days. At the moment, our role is that of a host. We have a mediation as a host. We have been working intensively on the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea for a long time."
