Gundlach Predicts Donald Trump Will Be Re-Elected

Billionaire bond investor Jeffrey Gundlach, who correctly predicted his presidency in early 2016 before Donald Trump's presidential primary elections ended, believes Trump will win the election again. "My main forecast is actually Donald Trump's re-election," Gundlach said in a webcast for his company DoubleLine Capital on Tuesday afternoon, in a Q&A session. The 60-year-old billionaire said he would "bet" against former Vice President Joe Biden, who defeated Trump in November. "I think the polls are weak right now because of the extremely toxic political environment we live in," Gundlach said, saying that two-thirds of conservatives or moderate conservatives have come across data suggesting direct or negligent lies about their support to Donald Trump. He is expecting significant fluctuations associated with the presidential election. Grundlach further added: "I expect more volatility around the election in terms of progressive policies that are basically rising tremendously for wealth manipulation, this could get very hot and we will see what happens together."
