Siemens Healthineers started negotiations for Varian Medical. If the deal is reached, Healthineers will pay $ 15 billion for Varian. According to information obtained from sources close to the subject, Siemens Healthineers stated that AG had advanced negotiations to acquire Varian Medical Sytems Inc. and the agreement price could exceed $ 15 billion. Sources stated that the agreement could be announced in the coming days and that the plans in question are not final and still could be broken. Representatives of Healthineers and Varian did not comment on the issue. The stock of California-based Varian did not change much in 2020. The market value of the medical equipment manufacturer is around $ 13 billion. The shares of Healthineers, which left Siemens AG in 2018, increased by 2.7 percent this year and increased its market value to 43.6 billion euros.
