As part of the measures, meetings where more than two people come together in the public space will be prohibited, while people from at most two households will be allowed to come together in private meetings. It has been reported that the measures including the temporary closure of places of worship, hairdressers, beauty salons, and other businesses, will be implemented until at least February 24. While 986 new cases were seen in Hong Kong yesterday, 1 death due to the virus was recorded.

Vaccination passport application begins

On the other hand, the Hong Kong Health Protection Center, in a statement, stated that vaccination passports will start on February 24 in the city, and only those who have been vaccinated can enter shopping centers and supermarkets. In the statement, it was noted that 81.8 percent of the urban population received one dose, 73.3 percent received two doses, and 15.3 percent had the third dose. While 18,794 cases have been seen so far in Hong Kong, with a population of approximately 7.5 million, 216 people have lost their lives due to the virus, and 5,346 people continue to be treated.
