How Did Borsa Istanbul Start the New Week?
The BIST 100 index, which has the highest market capitalization shares traded on Borsa Istanbul, traded between 3,641 - 3,952 points last week. BIST 100 gained 8.48% last week and ended the week with 3,934 points.
Borsa Istanbul BIST 100 index started the last week of October at 3,966.64 points, up 0.81%. The buying trend continued in the first minutes of the morning session.
On a sectoral basis, information technologies, construction and sports were the most demanded indices at the opening. While there were no sector indices that started the day in the negative, retail trade and mineral products were seen as the indices that started with the least value increase.
Banks experienced a value increase of nearly 1%, while the holding index increased by 0.6%.
Kervansaray Yatırım Holding (KERVN), Sodas Sodium (SODSN), Sumas Suni Tahta (SUMAS) started the day at the ceiling price throughout Borsa Istanbul. Loss of value on a share basis remained limited at the opening. Accordingly, Idealist REIT (IDGYO), Vanet Gıda (VANGD) and Turcas Petrol (TRCAS) were the shares that started the day with the highest depreciation.
Among the stocks included in the BIST 100 index, İş GYO (ISGYO) (8%), Tümosan Motor (TMSN) (6%) and Girisim Elektrik (GESAN) (5.3%) were the stocks that increased the most in the first minutes of the day. Arçelik (ARCLK) and Hektaş (HEKTS), on the other hand, were down by 2% at the open.
US stock markets ended the last day of last week in positive territory. Nasdaq, Dow Jones and S&P 500 indices rose by 2.3% on average. European indices also started the week on a positive note.
