Important
Bitcoin decision has been made by Moneygram. In a statement Wednesday, MoneyGram International announced that it will allow customers to buy and sell BTC for cash at 12,000 US retail locations in partnership with Coinme.
Making a statement on the subject, Coinme CEO Neil Bergquist stated that the cash transfer company is preparing to start Bitcoin trading transactions in 20 thousand stores in 32 states. The cryptocurrency company is facilitating the trading transactions for Bitcoin at approximately 6,000 supermarket locations currently located.
MoneyGram and Coinme will receive 4 percent of customers' transactions plus a $ 2.75 fee. Walmart-based MoneyGram points will charge an additional $ 2.
According to CoinDesk's report, the presentation makes it easier for US investors to access physical cryptocurrency points. According to Coin ATM Radar, less than 3,000 crypto kiosks and tellers allow users to sell their Bitcoins, while about 17,000 locations make it easy to buy.
Until recently known as a major partner of Ripple Labs and recently ended their partnership, MoneyGram received tens of millions of dollars to use the XRP token for cross-border transactions. The relationship between the two companies ended in March, after the SEC filed a lawsuit against Ripple Labs last year.
