Industrial production in Italy fell in November after growth in October
Industrial production in Italy, the euro area's third largest economy, fell again in November after a short period of growth in October. And more than economists estimated. The Italian statistical office ISTAT informed about it on Wednesday.
Specifically, the performance of Italian industry decreased by 1.4% in November compared to October, when it increased by 1.4% month-on-month. At the same time, economists expected its November decline of 0.4%.
To illustrate, industrial production in Italy fell by 5.0% in September.

industrial production fell by 4.2% in November, after declining by 1.9% in the previous month. Economists predicted slightly worse results, a decrease of 4.3%.
ISTAT stated that all branches of Italian industry recorded a decrease in production in November, while the production of consumer goods decreased the most by 4%,
energy by 3.6% and capital products by 0.6%, production of intermediate goods increased slightly, by 0.2%.
