Industrial Production Index Data Announced
Industrial production index data has been announced. The rise in industrial production continued in December.
Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) announced data for industrial production. According to the data announced, industrial production, which started to rise in August, continued to rise in December. According to the figures announced by
TURKSTAT, industrial production increased by 1.3 percent monthly in December and increased by 9 percent annually.
Looking at the sub-sectors of the industry (2015 = 100 reference years), the mining and quarrying sector index in December 2020 was 6.0 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, the manufacturing industry sector index was 9.5 percent, and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index increased by 4.9 percent.
Looking at the sub-sectors of the industry, in December 2020, the mining and quarrying sector index increased by 3.5 percent and the manufacturing industry index increased by 1.4 percent compared to the previous month, while the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index decreased by 1.4 percent. .
Industrial production not based on the calendar effect increased by 10.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2020 compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Compared to the previous quarter, industrial production, not based on seasonal and calendar effects, increased by 4.8 percent.
