Inflation Increased in Iran
According to the
Iranian calendar, the Iranian Statistics Center announced the inflation rate of Hijri 1398, which ended on March 20, 2020.
The inflation rate in the country increased by 7.9 points compared to the fiscal year and reached 34.8 percent in the same period last year.
In 2016, when the nuclear deal was actively sanctioned in Iran, inflation fell to a single household with 9 percent after 26 years.
After the US withdrew from the nuclear deal in May 2018 and reintroduced sanctions against Iran, the inflation rate in the country had increased practically.
Inflation had risen to over 50 percent in May last year.
