Consumer prices rose 5.2 percent in February compared to the same period of the previous year, according to data released on Tuesday by the National Bureau of Statistics in China. In January, the index had increased by 5.4 percent.
Food prices, on the other hand, showed the strongest rise in the last 12 years on the rising prices.
Producer prices fell 0.4 percent year on year. The index rose 0.1 percent in January.
Core inflation, which was stripped of volatile food and energy prices in China, rose 1 percent since 2010, without compromising its calm growth.
