Interesting dollar comment has been made by Putin. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the US dollar was used as an instrument of war.

Russian President Vladimir Putin made comments on the US dollar ahead of his summit with US President Joe Biden. Putin stated that the US uses the dollar as a tool for economic and political warfare. Speaking at the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, Russian President Putin, in addition to his comments on the dollar, also stated that the main part of Nord Stream 2, which is subject to sanctions, has been completed. Putin said, "I am happy to announce that the first line of Nord Stream 2 was successfully completed a few hours ago." He said that the work for the second line continues. Stating that the part in Germany has not been combined with the finished part yet, Putin announced that Gazprom is ready for gas transfer.

Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov announced that the country will zero-out the US dollar in the wealth fund and move to the Euro, yuan and gold.
