Iranian Economy Minister Ihsan Handuzi on Oil Revenue
Iranian Economy Minister Ihsan Handuzi made statements noting that the country's oil revenue has increased 5-fold in the last 5 months.
According to the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA), Handuzi addressed the developments in the country's economy at a press conference in the capital Tehran.
"The country's oil revenue has increased 5 times in the last 5 months compared to last year," Minister Handuzi said.
Noting that there has been a two-fold increase in foreign capital investments in the country in the past year, Handuzi said that economic plans are being made taking into account the continuation or end of the sanctions imposed by the United States of America.
Iranian Economy Minister Ihsan Handuzi also said, "There was a management problem in the Mubarak Steel Factory" regarding the 3.5 billion dollar corruption in the Mubarak Steel Factory in Isfahan, Iran. The Iranian Parliament had recorded a 300-page report on corruption in the factory in question.
Following the US exit from the nuclear deal signed between Iran and the P5+1 countries in 2015, a series of economic sanctions were imposed on Iran, including restrictions on oil sales.
Negotiations to revitalize the nuclear deal, which started some time ago, are reported to have come to an end these days, while some issues between the parties have not yet been resolved.
The Tehran administration has made statements that the sanctions imposed do not harm the country's economy.
