Isuzu Is Planning A Stock Partnership With Toyota

Isuzu is planning a stock partnership with Toyota. Companies want to revive their equity partnership in 2018.

According to the report, Toyota and Isuzu aim to revive their capital partnerships which was dissolved in 2018. In a statement made by the two companies on Wednesday, it was stated that Toyota will buy Isuzu's shares worth 395 million dollars and in return Isuzu will buy the same share in Toyota. In this context, it was stated that Toyota and Isuzu are planning to produce electric battery and fuel cell-based autonomous trucks. It was stated that with the decision taken in a period when truck and bus manufacturers switched from gasoline-powered vehicles to electric vehicles, these companies will also participate. On the other hand, some experts share the view that fuel cell-based technologies for long-haul trucks and buses are better than electric cars because they are more energy-intensive.     Source: Bloomberg HT
