Jack Dorsey said that Bitcoin (BTC), the world's largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, will play one of the key roles for the future of Twitter. Dorsey, CEO of Twitter, said at the company's second-quarter earnings call that Bitcoin will be a "huge part" of the company's future. In addition, Dorsey explained that the leading cryptocurrency is a potential benefit for Twitter products and services. Mentioning Bitcoin as the internet's native currency, Jack Dorsey announced his desire to integrate BTC into existing Twitter services, including trading, subscriptions, and new features like Twitter Tip Jar and Super Follows. Dorsey explained to investors that many innovations are coming to include Bitcoin, as Twitter is committed to decentralizing social media and providing more economic stimulus. Pointing out that besides artificial intelligence and decentralization, BTC is one of the three important trends for the future of Twitter, Jack Dorsey said, “I find it extremely important that Twitter and Twitter shareholders should invest aggressively in this area.” Dorsey has made it clear that he has always defended Bitcoin's readiness to become the sole currency of the internet since at least 2018.
