The drop in demands due to the coronavirus epidemic also affected Japan. However, Japan's global vehicle production fell 60 percent. The coronavirus, which originated in Wuhan, China and spread to more than 200 countries, caused a severe blow to the global economy. Due to the low demand in the epidemic process, the temporary closure of Japanese auto companies' factories inside and outside the country has reduced vehicle production by 60 percent. From April, a total of 916 thousand 200 vehicles were produced by 8 Japanese car companies, including Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Subaru. The production line decreased 60.9 percent compared to April 2019, while Toyota dropped 50 percent, Honda 52 percent, Nissan 62 percent. Japan firms, which decided to temporarily close their factories in the USA, the center of the epidemic, fell to zero last month from their production in this country at 320,000 in April 2019. Firms' production in Japan also fell 46 percent to 412,500. In China, where epidemic restrictions were eased, vehicle production increased by 11 percent compared to the same period last year, exceeding 446 thousand.
