Jeff Bezos Announced His Support For Tax Increases

Jeff Bezos announced his support for tax increases. Amazon's CEO stands by Biden's policies.

Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon, announced that he supports the new tax plan of US President Joe Biden, which envisions an increase in corporate tax from 21 percent to 28 percent. Bezos said, "We support Biden's focus on increasing its infrastructure investments in America." Stating that it is the right time for Democrats and Republicans to come together as in the past and make this project happen, Bezos noted that concessions from all stakeholders are required to pay for these investments. Bezos said, "We support the increase in corporate tax.", and added: "We look forward to the US Congress and Administration coming together to find the right and balanced solution that will improve or sustain the competitive environment in America." https://twitter.com/amazon_policy/status/1379526302617772036 While the new tax plan announced by US President Joe Biden last week, which envisions increasing the corporate tax from 21 percent to 28 percent, is expected to affect technology and pharmaceutical companies in particular, tax experts expressed that the most challenging task for representatives is to minimize the deficits that could reduce the impact of the law.
