Kickstarter Will Move Its Infrastructure To The Blockchain Network
Crowdfunding platform Kickstarter will move its infrastructure to the blockchain network. Kickstarter will migrate to the Celo blockchain network.
Kickstarter, which has brought many startups into the tech world, will gradually adopt
blockchain solutions. The platform, which has partnered with the Celo network, announced that it will migrate soon.
Kickstarter executives aim to develop an open source protocol on the Celo network. All assets of the Kickstarter platform will be transferred to this protocol without any hassle. In this way, the platform aims to minimize carbon emissions.
In the coming weeks, the manifesto known as the Whitepaper will be published and the project will be explained. While fully transitioning to the network in 2022, the development process will be followed with a management center. At this point, it is unknown for now whether donations will be made with the Celo cryptocurrency or if Kickstarter will develop a special management token. There have been platforms that have crowdfunded cryptocurrencies before. Kickstarter seems to start a new trend in this regard.
