Kim Jong-un Said, We Will Overcome Economic Difficulties
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said, “We will overcome the economic difficulties our country faces in the Covid-19 outbreak.”
Speaking at the close of the 4-day plenary meeting of the ruling Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Jong-un promised to improve the country's economy, which was negatively affected by the
Covid-19 outbreak and US sanctions, according to the North Korean official news agency (
KCNA).
Alongside these, Kim Jong-un swore that they would prevail against the "challenges standing before the revolution".
Kim Jong-un's aforementioned statements were published shortly before Sung Kim's visit to South Korea to hold talks on North Korea's nuclear build.
It is envisaged that the US Special Representative will meet with Kim Jong-un, representatives of Japan and South Korea and work towards the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
