Environment and Urbanization Minister Murat Kurum spoke about the mucilage (sea saliva) problem in the Marmara Sea. Minister Kurum visited the research vessel Bilim-2 of the METU Marine Sciences Institute, which is navigating, to investigate the formation of sea saliva seen at many points in the Sea of ​​Marmara. Making a speech here, Kurum stated that they devote all their time to the solution of this problem and explained that they are working with scientists, the science ship and the university both on the surface of the sea and at the bottom.

Drawing attention to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's statements on June 5, Environment Day, Kurum continued as follows: "We will not leave our bosphorus to its fate. We will not allow it to be contaminated with pollution. We will be taking all the steps that need to be taken to protect Marmara and steps that concern our 25 million and 84 million citizens."
