This week, Bitcoin 2021 will be held at Miami Wynwood's Mana Convention Center between June 3 and June 5.
Although the conference is an annual event, it was not held in 2020 due to the epidemic that affected the world. The Bitcoin 2021 event will have a capacity of 21 thousand participants. From now on, the organizers will make Bitcoin 201 go down in history as the largest Bitcoin event to date. At least 12,000 attendees are expected to participate the event.
Why Was Miami Chosen?
Considering that Miami has become a hub for many innovative technologies, including blockchain and cryptocurrencies, it is stated to be a pretty good choice. As it is known, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez is known for his interest in Bitcoin. Suarez had asked the organizers to host the 3-day conference in his home city.
In early 2021, Bitcoin Whitepaper was featured on Miami's official website. President Suarez approved BTC by stating that Miami supports Bitcoin as an “acceptable currency” and wants to invest in it in the future. In March, Suarez stated that he very much wants the city to become a Bitcoin mining center.
