Cyberattacks and theft in the world of cryptocurrencies continue. The latest theft news came from Animoca Brands. The NFT platform of the Animoca Brands, which is a supporter or developer of many NFT-based games in the cryptocurrency world, was hacked. By accessing the hot wallets of the Lympo NFT platform, the hackers stole $18.7 million worth of LMT tokens. It is stated that the hackers, who exchanged approximately 165 million LMT tokens on the UNISWAP exchange, transferred them to different wallets as ETH. While the price of the LMT token was around 12 cents, it dropped to the level of 1 cent with the news of the attack. Animoca Brands announced that they are investigating the issue and will find a solution as soon as possible. LMT liquidity, which is usually sold on decentralized exchanges, has been removed. Therefore, its value will remain very low in trades above a certain amount. The firm asked investors to stop trading for a while. Last week, the LCX exchange was also hacked and lost $7 million.
