Markets Expect Inflation to Rise
Markets expect inflation to rise. In August, annual inflation was 19.25 percent. Bloomberg HT Research's September inflation survey has been concluded.
The median expectation of the
institutions participating in the survey was that inflation would rise to 1.18 percent monthly and 19.50 percent annually in September.
In the survey, the lowest expectation for the month was 0.71% and the highest expectation was 2.20%.
In August, annual inflation was 19.25 percent.
Inflation increased by 1.12 percent on a monthly basis, and core inflation was reduced from 17.22 percent to 16.76 percent. Food prices saw a 28-month high with an increase of 29 percent.
21 institutions participating in the survey expect inflation to be 17.65 percent at the end of the year.
CBRT Governor Şahap Kavcıoğlu stated recently that the temporary factors affecting the inflation outlook will lose their effect in the short term and inflation will enter a downward trend in the last quarter.
